Tuera Holland (she/her) is a master’s level clinician licensed in the state of Pennsylvania
providing individual, relationship, marriage, premarital, pre-engagement, family, and group counseling.
Areas of expertise include racial trauma, women's issues, relationship counseling, and gender/sexuality-related issues.
Only virtual therapy is being provided at this time.
With experience in course development as well as instructing at the collegiate level, Tuera provides guidance to college institutions developing or striving to improve their behavioral health programs.
Past workshops include healing/repairing mother-daughter relationships, asserting boundaries, effective communication skills, consent and sexual assault prevention, and mindfulness.
Tuera acquired her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice with the goal of providing psychotherapy to populations experiencing complex and ambient trauma as a result of marginalization. She is especially cognizant of the ways in which one’s social environment impacts their health and development.
Her clinical experience includes assisting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, race-based trauma, LGBTQIA concerns, eating concerns and disorders, suicidal ideation, nonsuicidal self-injury, PTSD, self-image concerns, academic distress, work-related stress, family conflict, relationship concerns and isolation.
Tuera’s goal is to create a space in which clients feel safe as well as empowered as they explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. She uses a client-centered approach, maintaining space for each client to determine their own goals for treatment. Ultimately, she aims to restore clients with a sense of control and balance.
